Compost – What Not To Do
If you are looking to start composting there are a few things that you should know. The compost process isn’t very complicated, but for it to work effectively, you should know what not to do.
The first thing that you want to avoid is not turning your compost. For your composting pile to work effectively, you need to be turning the compost.
This is something that you should do at least once a week, and you can use any tool that you want to make it happen.
The next thing that you want to avoid is having the compost too wet or too dry. You need to find the best middle ground for your compost so you don’t ruin the process. One way that you can ensure you get this part right, is by wetting the compost a little bit every time you add something to the pile.
The final thing we are going to talk about is not having enough material in your composting pile. When you start the process you need to make sure that you have a good enough amount of compost. If you try to start the process with a small pile it may not work.
