Tips for Assembling Scaffolding
The first step is to make sure that you have all of your materials ready and in place before you begin. The next thing you need to do is measure the length of each rung, which will be determined by how high up on the wall you want it to go. If you use a ladder or other type of support, you can simply measure from where the ladder stands to the top of the wall. If you are using a chair or something else, you’ll need to measure from the bottom of the item to the top of the desired height.
Once you know what size rungs you need, you’ll need to cut them down to the correct lengths.
This is usually done with a jig saw, but scaffold rentals suggest that you can also use a hand saw or even a hacksaw.
Once you have cut your rungs, you’ll need to assemble them into a frame. This is typically done by placing one end of the rung against the side of the wall and hammering it into position. When you are finished, you should have a sturdy frame that’s strong enough to hold whatever weight you plan to hang off of it.
